Life Wisdom Realized By Dealing With A Fryer Basket

When I was a teen, there weren't many job opportunities around that would both pay well and also address you respectfully. Imagine to be a fourteen-fifteen year old, with a respectable amount of brains and a fraction of an inch of credibility beneath your belt. You're very apt to be underpaid and worse yet under-appreciated.

Just what does that mean in terms of the employment market? Simply put, fast food. I got a meager wage, put in the maximum amount of hrs, and lived with fryer baskets on a regular basis. Now, granted, I was new and foolish and assumed that since I was making income, what did it matter what I performed with fryer baskets or with plastic spatulas so long as I was bringing home revenue.

Not certain if that truly rings true. At the time, I disliked it. It was hot and unpleasant near to the deep fryer basket and the cooking surfaces, I had virtually no social life, and the hours were way too long. And yet, I managed to learn about the true world through that experience. I discovered that elements don't invariably come simple; you have to genuinely work on it sometimes to get through it. To withstand is to learn and grow.

Now, regardless of all of the 'life lessons' morality plays, I also came to a few conclusions about myself after a few years of reflecting on the encounter. It's not conceit when I say that I'm far better than this job. I'm light-years ahead of this, but of course is the experience part getting into play. I am no longer fifteen years old and praying to get a job - any job.

I've come a very long way ever since the fryer basket days, and I've learned a point or two more about the world and ways to ensure success devoid of having to burn yourself making meals for strangers. It doesn't need to be a challenge to do the things you love while still preserving your individuality. The thing is, I never would have gotten here if I had not been through it.
